Autologous
vaccine is a type
of vaccine that uses the client's own cancer cells, which are killed and
prepared for injection back into the client. Autologous vaccine is prepared by isolating
cancer cells from a patient and processing the cancer cells into a vaccine
formulation in vitro. The vaccine is then administered to the patient from whom
the cancer cells were isolated.
