SOH CAH TOA tells you the trig ratios are
  Sin(30°) = Opposite/Hypotenuse = y/(16√3)
  Cos(30°) = Adjacent/Hypotenuse = x/(16√3)

  y = (16√3)·sin(30°) = (16√3)·(1/2)
  y = 8√3 . . . . . . already you know the answer is A

  x = (16√3)·cos(30°) = (16√3)·(√3)/2
  x = 24 . . . . . . . further confirms the answer is A

The appropriate choice is
  A. x=24, y=8√3
