2x + y = −4 so y = -2x - 4

y = 3x + 2

now you have

y = -2x - 4

y = 3x + 2

-2x - 4 = 3x + 2

-5x = 6

x = -6/5

x = - 1.2

y = 3(-1.2) + 2

y = -3.6 + 2

y = -1.6

Answer

(-1.2 , -1.6)
