If the third term is 8, and it is 2 greater than the previous term, the second term must be 6 and the first term must be 4. To find the fourth and fifth term, add 2 to 8 to get 10, then add 2 to 10 to get 12. The first five terms in the sequence are 4, 6, 8, 10, 12.
