there would be 42 cookies left

you would divide 64 by the denominator which is 8. 64÷8=8. multiply that by the numerator. 8x1=8. now you subtract. 64-8=56.

now you divide 56 by the denominator 4. 56÷4=14. multiply by the numerator. 14x1=14. subtract again. 56-14=42. hope that helps!
