it's the same as adding whole numbers except you would need to add a decimal two places before the 0.
For example adding 0.23+0.54+0.13 which is 0.90 is the same as adding 23+54+13 which is 90 except you would need to add a decimal two places before 0. Hopefully my explanation wasn't bad.
