The formula of a midpoint between two points:

[tex]M\left(\dfrac{x_1+x_2}{2},\ \dfrac{y_1+y_2}{2}\right)[/tex]

We have L(5, 2) and N(-3, 6).

Substitute:

[tex]\dfrac{5+(-3)}{2}=\dfrac{5-3}{2}=\dfrac{2}{2}=1\\\\\dfrac{2+6}{2}=\dfrac{8}{2}=4[/tex]

Answer: The midpoint of line LN is (1, 4).
