Find the x-intercept of the graph of the equation: 4x + y = 3

The x-intercept is where the y is zero. So, we have just enough info :) Simply plug in 0 for y in order to find x.

4x + 0 = 3

x = 3/4

so the x intercept is (3/4, 0)
