isolate the term with m 6mx by adding 7 to both sides

y + 7 = 6mx ( divide both sides by 6x )

m = [tex]\frac{y+7}{6x}[/tex]

distribute the right side

y = 24 + 8x (subtract 24 from both sides )

y - 24 = 8x ( divide both sides by 8 )

x = [tex]\frac{y-24}{8}[/tex]
