How do you solve -117=7(3x+4)+2

The answer is -7.
-117=7(3x+4)+2= -117=21x+28+2 = 0=21x+147 = -21x=147=-7
You first solve the numbers in the parentheses,add 177 to each side,minus 21 from each side then divide 147 by -21.
