A verb is a word that shows what somebody or something does. example: I drove to the shop. Drove would be the verb as it is an action

Verb its describes a action words. Verbs can tell of something to be done with to read, count, sing, laugh, jump, run, sat, and throw.

Example: The dog sat down to the chair.

Sat is a verb. Sat is something to sit on.
