Cementite solid phase is very hard and brittle.We know that in when percentage of carbon is increase in the iron then depending on the percentage of carbon different type of structure is produce .\

Cementite has 6.67 % of carbon 93.3 % of iron by weight .and  so it is very hard and brittle material.

So above given statement in question is wrong because cementite is not ductile
