For this case we must simplify the following expression:

[tex](2a ^ 3-5a) - (7a+ 3a ^ 2) =[/tex]

By definition of the law of multiplication signs we have to:

[tex]- * + = -[/tex]

Rewriting the expression we have:

[tex]2a ^ 3-5a-7a-3a ^ 2 =[/tex]

We add similar terms taking into account that:

Equal signs are added and the same sign is placed.

[tex]2a ^ 3-3a ^ 2-12a[/tex]

ANswer:

[tex]2a ^ 3-3a ^ 2-12a[/tex]
