To answer the question above, evaluate first the side of length of the sides of the square. 
 
                                    2^(4/9) = 1.36079 inches

The area of the square is calculated by squaring the measurement of the sides. 
    
                                    A = (1.36079 in)^2 = 1.8517 in^2

Thus, the area of the square is approximately 1.8517 in^2.
