I have managed to work out what x is but I’m not sure what to put in terms of the assumptions.

By similar triangles property, [tex]\frac{A B}{B C}=\frac{A E}{E D}[/tex]

Do cross multiply

⇒ 10 × 3 = 15 × x

⇒ 30 = 15x

⇒ 30 ÷15 = 15x ÷ 15 (By division property of equality)

⇒ x = 2

Hence, the possible value for x is 2.
