here we know that two temperature scales will read same values

so we will have

[tex]T_f = T_c = x[/tex]

here we have

[tex]\frac{x}{100} = \frac{x - 32}{180}[/tex]

[tex]1.8 x = x - 32[/tex]

[tex]x = -40 ^o C[/tex]
