Answer:

When you are trying to cube something, you are trying to multiply it 3 times.

Example:  Find the answer to [tex]3^3[/tex]

[tex]3^3[/tex] is the same as 3 * 3 * 3

3 * 3 * 3 -> 9 * 3 -> 27

Example:  Find the answer to [tex]2^3[/tex]

[tex]2^3[/tex] is the same as 2 * 2 * 2

2 * 2 * 2 -> 4 * 2 -> 8
