For the composite function FоG(X) = F(G(X)), just replace the function G(X) in the X of F(X):

F(X) = X + 4

G(X) = 3X² - 7

   F(X) =     X    + 4

F(G(X)) = [G(X)] + 4

F(G(X)) = [3X² - 7] + 4

F(G(X)) = 3X² - 7 + 4

F(G(X)) = 3X² - 3
