Hamilton fought bravely in the continental army during the revolutionary war. This led him to learn the true cost of war and influence his beliefs to where he understands it's not a good idea to get involved with the french revolution. However Jefferson did not fight and has not seen the true costs of war so he does not mind getting involved with the french.
