What does negative 3 over 5 > −2 indicate about the positions of negative 3 over 5 and −2 on the number line?

So,

Ignore the negatives and just make them positives.

For now.

Then, you look at 3/5 and say... it's 3 ticks towards the number five,

meaning it's between 4 and 5. After you do that whats happens is you place back the negatives and you have -3/5 and -2.

-2 < 5 and -2 < 4

Meaning it goes more to the left.
