I think its about 9? being as if you look a it its close to 12 but nowhere near it.

It is 9, because of Pythagorean’s theorem (assuming it is a right triangle) a^2+b^2=c^2, a and b are the legs and c is the longest part, the hypotenuse, plus 12 in for b and 15 in for c.
a^2+12^2=15^2
a^2+144=225
a^2=81
sqrt(a^2)=sqrt(81)
a=9
