If she can make 7 quilts with 21 yards, then you know 21÷7=3, it takes 3 yards to make 1 quilt. To make 12 quilts, you would then multiply the amount needed for each quilt by the total number of quilts: 3 yards/quilt x 12 quilts= 36 yards needed to make 12 quilts.
