We have to look at how many ways to choose 3 numbers and how many ways to arrange those.

In how many ways can we choose 3 digits? That’s going to be 4C3

And in how many ways can we arrange these 3 digits? In 3 *2*1 ways (3!)

Then we multiply both together → 4C3 * 3! =24

There are 24 ways to make 3 digit numbers out of 3,2,7,9.
