Why does a nucleus always have a positive charge?

Nucleus has a positive charge as it has protons, which are positively charged inside it.

This is because the nucleus has protons. The atoms do not have a charge because the negative electrons and positive protons cancel eachother out causing the atom to be considered neutral. Hope this helps
