It was made to help the economic sphere of the U.S by providing more jobs and more economic security, so yes.

Yes, the New Deal was intended to bring the U.S out of the Great Depression through various reforms, recovery acts, and relief programs (alphabet soup agencies). However, while it did help citizens, it did not end the Great Depression (that was what WW2 did)
