x=[tex] \frac{-b \frac{+}{-} \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a} [/tex]

-5x^2+6x+9=3

-5x^+6x+6=0
ax^2+bx+c=0

plug in the top equation to get x=1.85 x=-0.65
