Let the numbers be 8x and 5x

ATQ,

= 8x + 6/5x + 6 = 3/2

= 2(8x + 6) = 3(5x + 6)

= 16x + 12 = 15x + 18

= 16x - 15x = 18 - 12

= x = 6

Now, the numbers are:

  1. 8x = 8 × 6 = 48
  2. 5x = 5 × 6 = 30
