Answer:

-8x+y=20

y=20+8x

-5x-y=6

-5x-(20+8x)=6

-5x-20-8x=6

-13x=6+20

-13x=26

-13x÷ -13=26÷ -13

x= -2

-8x+y=20

-8×(-2)+y=20

16+y=20

y=20-16

y=4
