Answer:  ∴ the 5-lb bag of sugar contains ≈ 6.63 moles

Explanation:

Moles = Mass ÷ Molar Mass

         since 5 Ib of sugar = 2267.96 g

  &  molar mass of sugar =  342.3 g/mol

⇒   Moles of sugar = 2267.96 g  ÷   342.3 g/mol

                               = 6.63 mol

∴ the 5-lb bag of sugar contains ≈ 6.63 moles
