A line passes through points (6,3), (8,4), and (n,-2). How do I find the value?

Since a line passes through those points, that means all 3 points have the same slope.
(6,3), (8,4) slope is 1/2,
find the slope using (6,3), (n,-2).
3+2/6-n=1/2
5/6-n=1/2
6-n=10
n=-4
