What is the difference between coefficients and constants?

Coefficients is the number in front of a variable, ex. in "4x + 2= 8"; 4 is the coefficient. 
And Constants is a number on its own, which means it doesn't have a variable, ex. in "x + 5 = 9", 5 and 9 are constants.
