The quadratic equation is -b +/- (square root(b^2 - 4ac))/2a
In the equation a=-4, b=-3, c=2
THerefore

-(-3) +/- square root ((-3)^2 - 4(-4)(2))/2(-4)
which equals
3 +/- square root (9- (-32))/-8
