a) For there to be a y-intercept of 3, when x=0, y=3.

  • A. y=(0+1)(0-3)=-3
  • B. y=0²-9=-9
  • C. y=3(0)(0-3)=0
  • D. y=(0+1)(0+3)=3.

b) For there to be roots of 0 and 3, there has to be factors of x and (x-3).
