There are many more situations than just 3 during which you can sustain an eye injury.
1. Using any type of saw that can cause particulate to enter the eye.
2. Painting.
3. Exposure to UV rays from medical devices or even from sunlight.
In both examples 1 and 2, wearing goggles is an easy way to prevent injuries.
In example 3, wearing properly filtered Sunglasses/Goggles that block UV ray penetration from entering the eye is an appropriate way to prevent eye injury.
