What happened in Russia following its civil war?

Well, Russia fell into a state of weakness. The economy fell, millions had to be spent in damages, and they suffered many casualties. This meant the ability to defend from an invasion from another country was very low. Russia was crippled in a sense. They needed much time to recover from the destruction the civil war brought.
