Why does 0.8 + 0.2=1

Because 0.8
             +0.2
             =1.0
8 plus 2 is10 but the 1 goes to the other side of the point. Hope this helps!

Because 10 is the whole 0.8 is 8/10 and 0.2 is 2/10
8/10+2/10= 10/10 10/10 is also considered 1 whole or 1
