Answer: [tex]10^3[/tex]

Explanation:-

pH is the measure of acidity or alkalinity. It is also defined as negative logarithm of hydrogen ion concentration.

[tex]pH=-log[H_3O^+][/tex]

Given: [tex]pH[/tex] = 3

Thus [tex]3=-log[H_3O^+][/tex]

[tex][H_1^+]=10^{-3}[/tex]

[tex]6=-log[H_3O^+][/tex]

[tex][H_3O^+]=10^{-6}[/tex]

[tex]\frac{10^{-3}}{10^{-6}}=10^3[/tex]

Thus [tex]H_3O^+[/tex] changes by [tex]10^3[/tex] units.
