Answer: Old Major

An anthropomorphic character is one which displays the characteristics of a human, even though he is not. In Animal Farm, Old Major is a pig, but he displays characteristics that belong only to humans. He is aware of how miserable the animals' lives are, and how the farmer profits from this misery. He also dreams of a rebellion that will allow them to change their lives.
