The first phase involves assessment, giving
particular attention to the diagnosis of depression and also developing an understanding of the interpersonal context. This collaborative approach helps inform treatment focus. There are 4 choices available: interpersonal role dispute, interpersonal role transitions, grief and interpersonal sensitivity.
