The Anti-Federalists opposed the ratification of the Constitution because the new constitution didn't have a bill of rights that would guarantee basic freedoms.
The Anti-Federalists opposed a strong centralized government and wanted each of the states to be in charge of their own affairs. This is why they thought that the Constitution limited those individual powers and were against that.
