Tim collected a total of 942 cans. Alex collected 327 cans. How many fewer cans did Alex collect than Tim?

Basically this is asking for the difference between the two numbers provided.
To calculate the difference, simply subtract the smaller number (327) from the larger number (942).
942-327=615
