From the equation, one mole of acetic anhydride is needed to react with one mole of salicylic acid. From the stoichiometry of the equation, we get 4.65 g x 102.10 g acetic anhydride/1 mol divided by 138.13 g salicylic acid per mole. This gives us 3.44 g of salicylic acid.
