We know the car starts at 24 m/s and will end at 0 m/s in 10 s. Use a kinematic equation to find the acceleration.

V = Vi + at

0 = 24 + a(10)

-24/10 = a

a = -2.4 m/s^2

Now calculate the required force.

F = ma

F = 1100*(-2.4)= 2640 N
