The equilibrium vapor pressure of a molten ionic compound is likely to be lower than that of ether. Ionic compound is a chemical compound composed of ions held together by electrostatic forces termed termed ionic bonding. Vapor pressure of a pure compound is the pressure characteristic at any given temperature of a vapor in equilibrium with its liquid or solid form.
