Hello!

The neutralization reactions involve an acid and a base and the product is always a salt and water.

For Hydrochloric Acid, the balanced neutralization reaction is the following one:

HCl(aq) + NaOH(aq) → NaCl(aq) + H₂O(l)  (The salt is NaCl)

For Acetic Acid, the balanced neutralization reaction is the following one:

CH₃COOH(aq) + NaOH(aq) CH₃COONa(aq) + H₂O(l) (The salt is CH₃COONa)

Have a nice day!
