A supersaturated solution of this solid could be prepared by slowly cooling a saturated solution.
If we cool a solution, we are decreasing the solubility of the solid in that solution. But if we do it very slowly, the solid will not precipitate but remain in solution, so we'll have a supersaturated solution (i.e. a solution that has more solute dissolved than its needed to form a saturated solution). Any little disturbance in the system after cooling will cause the solid to precipitate.
